My wrok "The GUA SHA Treatment Pop" is about ilusiones,memory and anguishes. For westerners, although a patient with sick and weakness needs to take some bitter pills, but he/she usually should take a rest in a comfortable bed instead of torturing him/her. However, in Chinese Medicine philosophy, "combat poison with poison" is a popular method of treating some diseases. For example, for a sick with weakness, The GUA SHA Treatment is a popular therapy in most parts of China, someone (always family member) should scrape the back of the sick with a bowl in order to make the sick's muscles smooth, and finally the sick will get better. This is a traditional culture for the Chinese, but for Westerners, it is an unacceptable and brutal treatment.

The GUA SHA Treatment is a famous Chinese therapy which is related to cooking oil, body, blood, and etc. This artwork trys to reveal the embodiment of Yin Yang Five Elements (Golden, Wood, Water, Fire and Soil) classical theory in Chinese Traditional medical treatment and be passed on to the modern society as a cultural heritage by generation to generation.
